Job Description

Ensure all inputs into products comply with prevailing legislations and standards

n

Place Purchase orders based on requisitions

n

Track orders and provide updates to the team

n

Communicate daily with suppliers regarding demand and delivery

n

Adjust orders based on variations between forecasted and actual volume

n

Build and maintain supplier relationships to support strategic sourcing

n

Collaborate with the planning team on production planning

n

Ensure quality assurance in line with food safety guidelines

n

Purchase direct and raw materials

n

Manage stock control variances

n

Contribute to annual stocktake and manage regular stocktake procedures

n

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

n





Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing.

n

Experience working within the fast moving consumer goods industry (min 1 year)

n

Experience with procurement of beverage and beverage inputs HIGHLY DESIRABLE.

n

Experience in food processing, with robust production knowledge.

n

Advanced experience with Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.

n

Sound problem-solving skills

n

High attention to detail

n

Relevant tertiary or secondary qualification

n

Experience using an ERP system or relevant accounting system
