HC Driver – Local Container Cartage - Melbourne

Niche Logistics is seeking a skilled HC Driver for local container cartage in Melbourne, be a valued member of our team based in Altona

n

This role involves transporting 20ft, 40ft and 48ft containers from the rail terminal, direct to customer or to our depot for unloading.

n

Full time Role: $35.03 per hour + penalty rate and full entitlements (Holiday & Sick Leave)

n

Hours are Monday to Friday with start times varying depending on the day of the week and volumes

n

Duties include:

n

n
- Pickup and return of containers from the rail terminal
n
- Deliveries direct to customer sites or depot
n
- Protected operation of HC vehicles and skel trailers
n
- Reversing and maneuvering in tight spaces
n
- Daily interaction with customers and depot staff
n




- Compliance with transport and site safety requirements
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Current HC Licence (Auto or Unrestricted)
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience driving HC vehicles
n
- Rail Pin/ National Pacific Induction (desirable)
n
- Experience with container cartage and skel trailers and an understanding of rail and container logistics
n
- Ability to handle 20ft, 40ft and 48ft containers confidently
n
- Knowledge of Perth metro routes
n
- Commitment to workplace and transport safety standards
n
