We are a small, established public accounting firm providing taxation, accounting and business advisory services to individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. We are committed to delivering practical advice and building long-term relationships with our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team.

n

About the Role

n

Working closely with our Director and team, you will prepare taxation and accounting work for a diverse portfolio of clients.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and SMSFs.

n

Preparation and lodgement of Income tax returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.

n

Assisting with payroll tax and other compliance obligations.

n

Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies.

n

Assisting clients with taxation and general business queries.

n





Building and maintaining professional client relationships.

n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

At least 2 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting.

n

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.

n

Experience using accounting and taxation software, including MYOB, Xero and BGL.

n

Experience with MYOB Accountants Office and MYOB AE would be highly regarded.

n

Good communication and organisational skills.

n

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

A reliable and professional approach to client service.
