QLM LABEL MAKERS is seeking an experienced Mac Pre-Press Operator to join our Art Department in Moorabbin, located in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

In this full-time role, onsite, you will be responsible for pre-press operations primarily for flexible packaging as well as labels for digital and flexographic presses, for our diverse range of clients. With a strong focus on attention to detail and efficiency, you will play a crucial part in the production process and the ongoing success of our business.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Prepare print-ready files for proofing and print production using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Esko software, primarily for flexible packaging
n
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, production) to understand product specifications and customer expectations.
n
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during pre-press operations
n
- Checking and quality control, following internal quality procedures.

What we're looking for

n

n




- A team member who has solid experience using the Adobe Suite in an Apple Mac environment, plus the following traits:
n
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mac Pre-Press Operator
n
- Experience with Esko software (preferred but not essential)
n
- Solid background in prepress operations (flexible packaging preferred)
n
- Understanding of printing processes, especially digital and flexography
n
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work
n
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
n
- Ability to plan the day and monitor output.
n
- Developed Critical Thinking
n
- Tertiary or trade qualification in graphic arts or a related field
n
