The opportunity

n

As Mirrastone continues to grow, we are looking for an additional Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our team.

n

This is a full-time, ongoing position that will predominantly involve travelling between our building sites across Melbourne's North-Western suburbs as well as cover some regional sites from time to time.

n

You will report to our Work Health and Safety Manager, who is supportive, transparent, engaging and leads by example.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Conducting site safety inspections and reporting findings
n
- Participating in audits and assisting with safety documentation
n
- Ensuring contractors are properly inducted and comply with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation
n
- Conducting onsite toolbox meetings
n
- Reporting incidents, hazards, injuries and near misses
n
- Collating safety data and statistics for company reporting
n
- Assisting with the WHS components of employee and contractor inductions
n
- Supporting and educating employees and contractors on site safety requirements
n




- Continuing to develop your knowledge of residential construction safety and auditing
n

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience working in the Residential Construction space in Australia
n
- Has a genuine passion for workplace safety and compliance
n
- Is eager to learn and build a career within the residential construction industry
n
- Is confident educating and guiding others on safety requirements
n
- Can build strong relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers, regulators and authorities
n
- Has a strong work ethic and takes ownership of their responsibilities
n
- Is comfortable working independently and travelling between sites
n
- Works well as part of a team
n
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office
n
