Our client is a local distributor of European built CNC machinery for the metal trades industry and manufacturing engineers throughout Australia and New Zealand

At this time, we are seeking an enthusiastic Field Service Technician to join their professional team to install and service machinery in Queensland and Northern NSW.

n

On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:

n

n
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery including end-user training
n
- Carrying out regular and preventative maintenance on customer sites
n
- Attending to machine breakdowns as required and troubleshooting
n
- Providing technical support and advice to customers remotely and in-person
n
- Completion of accurate service reports
n

Our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most or all of the following selection criteria:

n

n
- Relevant trade/tertiary qualifications in a mechanical discipline ie Fitter / Turner, Mechanic etc.
n
- The position offers a technical split of roughly 80% Mechanical to 20% Electrical,



so basic Electrical skills are also required. A Minimum of a Restricted Electrical License, or the ability to obtain one will be highly advantageous.

- Previous experience in Field Service or Maintenance of industrial machinery/equipment
n
- Well developed fault finding process and a strong eye for detail
n
- Strong communication and customer service skills
n
- Able to work overtime and travel as required within QLDor interstate
n
- Most importantly you are a self starter who accepts responsibility and can work in a fully autonomous role
n

Full product training will be provided, so applications are requested from any candidate with similar experience, or can evidence a solid mechanical background such as a Fitter / Turner or other mechanical trades.
