Keilor Hotel is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support the overall management and operations of our hotel, based in Keilor, VIC 3036. As Assistant Hotel Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the General Manager & Hotel Manager in the day-to-day running of the property. This position offers the chance to develop your leadership skills whilst contributing to a thriving hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

n

- Supporting the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
n
- Managing front-of-house operations, including gaming, bistro, bar and function areas
n
- Assisting with staff supervision, scheduling, training, and performance management across departments
n
- Addressing guest concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
n
- Monitoring hotel facilities and maintenance standards to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming setting
n
- Contributing to revenue optimisation through effective management of bookings, rates, and occupancy
n
- Supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities
n
- Assisting with financial management, including budget monitoring and cost control measures
n
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
n
- Deputising for the Hotel Manager when required
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Proven experience in a hotel management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
n
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including gaming, staff training and food and beverage services
n




- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
n
- Outstanding customer service expertise with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
n
- Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications
n
- Sound financial acumen and experience with budget management
n
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
n
- Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications (such as hospitality management qualifications) are advantageous
n
- Must hold a valid Victorian Gaming license and current modules
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
n
- Flexibility to work afternoon shift, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
n
