The Role

n

n
- Read, analyse, and prepare tender documentation
n
- Prepare quantity take-offs in an efficient and accurate manner
n
- Analyse and select supplier and/or subcontractor quotations
n
- Manage time constraints in the preparation of tenders
n
- Consult with colleagues and senior staff to resolve issues affecting the cost effectiveness of
n
- tender submissions
n
- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to discuss and resolve issues
n
- Co-ordinate and facilitate post tender negotiations
n
- Prepare budget estimates based on preliminary sketches
n
- Analyse and compare budget estimates to similar projects
n

What We're Looking For

n

n




- Senior construction/building estimating skillset and experience complimented by industry relevant qualification(s)
n
- Proven track record of commercial construction project work winning
n
- Canberra based, or willing to be; with familiarity with local (AU) subcontractor and trade pricing/costs/quantities.
n
- Confident & collaborative communicator, consistent with building trusted relationships and partnerships
n
- Ability to build on existing subcontractor and client relationships
n
- Self-motivated and intuitively natured; supportive of problem solving and continuous improvement
n
- Organised and process appreciative in line with managing multiple priorities and deadlines
n
- Competent user of relevant estimating software (Buildsoft or similar)
n
