About the Role
n This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in responsibility, sound judgement, and operational excellence. As a Control Room Operator, you will be entrusted with critical decision-making that directly impacts safety, service delivery, and incident outcomes.
n
You will develop a deep understanding of security operations, emergency response coordination, and stakeholder communication, positioning you as a trusted operational hub during high-profile events.
n
High-performing Control Room Operators are often identified as key talent for progression into senior operational roles, including Control Room Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or broader leadership positions within the organisation.
n
Roles available across multiple locations, including Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Homebush and more.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Monitor live operations using CCTV and integrated security systems during events, ensuring compliance with
n
- Respond to alarms and incidents swiftly and professionally, escalating where appropriate
n
- Support emergency response coordination,
relaying accurate information to ground teams and stakeholders
n
- Control access to restricted zones, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry
n
- Log incidents and reports with precision, capturing essential details and ensuring accountability
n
- Maintain operational readiness by checking and managing essential equipment and systems
n
- Provide high-quality security services in accordance with client requirements and internal standards
n
- Operate and utilise ACESGroup's technology platforms to support site safety and reporting
n
- Maintain accurate records and complete reports through digital systems
n
- Collaborate with team members and management to enhance operational efficiency
n
n
This is a high-responsibility position suited to someone who works confidently within established procedures, values operational excellence, and takes pride in contributing to the safety and smooth running of public-facing events.
n
n
- Hold a current NSW 1A Security Licence (minimum 12 months).
n
- Have Control Room Operator (CRO) experience – this is essential.
n
- Are confident operating in a rapid-paced, live-event environment, guided by SOPs and real-time updates.
n
- Communicate clearly, stay composed under pressure, and work effectively in a team.
n
- Are flexible and committed to working a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public events.
n
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current)
n
- First Aid and CPR (current)
n
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
n
- Exceptional personal presentation
n
- Reliability and punctuality
n
- Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster
n
- Ability to pass a LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test
n
- Full NSW Driver Licence
n
- Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Management Plan certificates/cards (or willing to obtain)
n
- White Card (or willing to obtain)
n
- Fire Warden + Chief Warden + Confine Small Emergencies (or willing to obtain)
n
n
