Their modern operation includes a Bar Mill, Rod Mill, Billet Yard, Guide Shop, Warehouse, and dedicated Maintenance Department, with a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

We're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a highly skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping critical production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

n

This is a hands‐on role where you'll carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults, and contribute to a proactive maintenance culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Rotating Roster

4 Days On / 4 Days Off

- 2 x Day Shifts: 6:00am - 6:00pm
n
- 2 x Night Shifts: 6:00pm - 6:00am
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on heavy industrial equipment
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
n
- Maintain and repair hydraulic,



pneumatic, power transmission and drive systems
n
- Install, align and overhaul mechanical components and equipment
n
- Complete maintenance documentation and reporting accurately
n
- Work closely with operations to maximise plant reliability
n
- Maintain high safety, housekeeping and quality standards
n

About You

n

n
- Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
n
- Previous experience within heavy manufacturing, steel, mining, industrial processing or similar environments
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
n
- Experience to machining, CNC equipment, and control systems such as Siemens, Fanuc and Mazak/Mazatrol is advantageous
n
- A proactive approach to safety with excellent communication skills
n
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative maintenance team
n
- Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen only (visa holders will not be considered)
n
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
n
