Job Description
The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls across the business.
n Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, support month-end and year-end processes, and help ensure compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
n As part of a US-listed organisation, you will also gain exposure to a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control environment and work closely with both local and global finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
n
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
n
n
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
n
- Prepare and review financial reporting schedules and reporting packs.
n
- Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records.
n
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and identify opportunities for standardisation and process improvement.
n
- Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and support reporting requirements for internal stakeholders.
n
n
Statutory Reporting & Compliance
n
n
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and regulatory requirements.
n
- Support compliance with ASIC and other regulatory reporting obligations.
n
- Coordinate external audit activities and respond to auditor requests.
n
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and policy updates.
n
- Maintain documentation supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
n
- Manage local external reporting requirements, including Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys.
n
n
SOX Compliance & Internal Controls
n
n
- Support the execution, documentation, and monitoring of SOX controls within the finance function.
n
- Coordinate information requests for internal audit and SOX testing activities.
n
- Assist with remediation plans arising from audit findings and control deficiencies.
n
- Help ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards,
and internal control requirements.
n
n
Financial Governance & Process Improvement
n
n
- Contribute to maintaining a solid financial control workplace.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
n
- Support finance systems enhancements and standardisation initiatives.
n
- Promote compliance with delegated authorities and governance frameworks.
n
- Build effective relationships across Finance, Internal Audit, Treasury, Tax, Shared Services, and external stakeholders.
n

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
Essential
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
n
- CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
n
- Experience in financial accounting, external audit, or a similar role.
n
- Experience preparing financial reports under AASB and/or IFRS.
n
- Experience supporting external audits and regulatory reporting activities.
n
- Exposure to SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
n
- Experience working within a listed, regulated, multinational, or complex corporate environment.
n
- Strong ERP systems knowledge and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
- Experience working within a US-listed organisation.
n
- Exposure to US GAAP reporting requirements.
n
- Previous chartered accounting or audit experience.
n
- Demonstrated involvement in finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.
n
n
