About the Role

n

This position combines clinical leadership, service development and direct clinical practice.

n

The successful candidate will:

n

n
- Lead the development of Yaalu Therapy Center's Positive Behaviour Support service.
n
- Support the organisation through the NDIS registration and audit process for PBS services.
n
- Assist in developing and reviewing PBS policies, procedures, clinical governance frameworks and quality systems.
n
- Provide expert advice on NDIS Practice Standards, Behaviour Support Capability Framework requirements and compliance obligations.
n
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
n
- Develop, implement and review Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
n
- Manage an allocated caseload of NDIS participants.
n
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and practitioner development for Behaviour Support Practitioners progressing through the NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
n
- Review reports and provide clinical feedback to ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice.
n
- Collaborate with participants, families, schools, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and the ongoing development of our multidisciplinary services.

Essential Selection Criteria

n

n
- Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient, Advanced or Specialist level.
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience working at the Proficient level or above.
n




- Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing Behaviour Support Plans.
n
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework, Restrictive Practices requirements and NDIS Practice Standards.
n
- Experience supporting organisations with NDIS registration, quality audits, policy development or clinical governance is highly desirable.
n
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring or leadership within a PBS team.
n
- Excellent report writing, clinical reasoning and communication skills.
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
- Current Working with Children Check.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
n
- Qualified Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance (for contractors).
n
