The Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Taxation Accountant to join our team on a full‐time, permanent basis.

n

This is an on‐site role based in Mildura, Victoria. As a key member of our accounting team, you will manage a portfolio of client taxation matters and play an significant role in providing quality advice and supporting our growing client base.

n

This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including primary producers, small businesses, family trusts, partnerships, and corporate entities, while applying your technical skills to deliver practical taxation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

n

Advising clients on tax planning strategies, including primary production taxation matters such as Farm Management Deposits (FMDs), primary production averaging, Division 7A loan compliance, and small business CGT concessions

n

Preparation and lodgement of individual, partnership, trust, and company income tax returns, including preparation of FBT, BAS, and IAS obligations

n

Reviewing financial statements for tax compliance and accurate tax disclosure

n





Conducting client tax interviews to understand their needs and provide tailored taxation solutions

n

Managing ATO correspondence, audits, and compliance obligations

n

Supporting and mentoring junior staff while actively contributing to the firm's growth initiatives

n

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

n

You'll bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to your work.

n

We are looking for someone with:

n

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline (essential)

n

Minimum 3 years of experience in a taxation accounting role

n

CPA Australia, CA ANZ, or IPA membership, or progress toward membership, is highly regarded

n

Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and ATO compliance requirements

n

Experience with accounting software (Sage, HandiLedger, MYOB, Xero, or similar)

n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

n

Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships independently

n

Experience with primary production, agricultural, or regional business taxation (advantageous)

n

Location

This is an on‐site position based in Mildura, Victoria 3500, Australia. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to or reside in Mildura.
