Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service while supporting and developing our team.

About the Role

n

As our Assistant Venue Manager, you'll be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You'll support all aspects of venue operations, lead by example on the floor and help maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Supporting the Venue Manager with the daily operation of the venue.
n
- Leading, coaching and engaging the front-of-house team.
n
- Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience.
n
- Managing opening and closing procedures.
n
- Assisting with staff recruitment,



onboarding and ongoing training.
n
- Assisting with managing rosters and processing timesheets.
n
- Monitoring labour costs and assisting with wage control.
n
- Overseeing cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily reconciliations.
n
- Assisting with stock ordering, stock control and supplier management.
n
- Supporting the coordination of functions and special events.
n
- Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety, workplace health and safety and company policies.
n
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and operational excellence throughout the venue.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in a hospitality leadership role, ideally as an Assistant Venue Manager, Duty Manager or Supervisor.
n
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
n
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
n
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
n
- Confidence using computer systems, POS/EFTPOS terminals and Microsoft Office.
n
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
n
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
n
- A current RSA certificate (essential).
n
