Job Description
Our client is a leading Australian bank with a strong presence in the corporate and institutional lending market. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Associate / Senior Associate to join their high-performing Corporate Lending team.
n
This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated cash flow lending transactions for mid-market and corporate clients, gaining exposure to complex financing structures and transactions of up to $100 million.
n
Working alongside experienced Relationship Directors and senior bankers, you'll play a key role in the analysis, structuring and execution of new lending opportunities while helping manage an established portfolio of corporate clients.

Responsibilities:
n
n
- Conduct detailed financial analysis on new and existing corporate clients.
n
- Prepare high-quality credit submissions and lending recommendations.
n
- Analyse historical and forecast financial performance, cash flow, leverage and debt servicing capacity.
n
- Structure cash flow lending facilities tailored to client requirements.
n
- Work alongside Relationship Directors on new business opportunities and existing client relationships.
n
- Manage the execution of approved lending transactions through to settlement.
n
- Complete annual reviews,
covenant monitoring and ongoing portfolio management.
n
- Liaise with internal credit, legal, risk and operations teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.
n
- Identify key credit risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
n

Requirements:
n
n
- Experience in commercial, corporate or institutional banking within a major bank, regional bank or specialist lender.
n
- Strong experience preparing credit submissions and assessing cash flow lending opportunities.
n
- A sound understanding of corporate lending structures and credit risk.
n
- Strong financial statement analysis and financial modelling skills.
n
- Excellent commercial judgement and analytical capability.
n
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- A degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
n
- CA, CFA or postgraduate finance qualifications will be viewed favourably but are not essential.
n
n
