Here's what you'll need
n
To succeed inthisrole, you will bring:
n
n
- Registration as aVictorian Registered Heritage Advisor, with the qualifications and experiencerequiredto lead fieldworkin accordance withthe current Minister's Guidelines; orworking towards Heritage Advisor status.
n
- AnHonours or postgraduate degreein archaeology, heritage management, or a related discipline.
n
- Approx. 3–6+ years' consulting experience,with a focus on Aboriginal heritage in Victoria (additionalexperience outside Victoria and/or in historical heritage isadvantageous).
n
- Working knowledge ofState and Commonwealthheritage legislation, associated regulations, and guidelines (experience outside Victoria is beneficial).
n
- Experiencecontributing toCultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs)and deliveringhigh-qualityheritage advice.
n
- Solidresearch, fieldwork, and site analysisskills.

- The ability tomanage small to medium-sized projects, delivering on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
n
In the Project Archaeologist / Heritage Advisorrole, you will:
n
n
- Leadsmall to medium heritage projects(i.e. high-leveladvice and CHMPs), including fieldwork and reporting.
n
- Support senior team members onlarger and more complex projects.
n
- Prepareheritage reports and assessments, withappropriate guidanceand review.
n
- Contribute to a positive team environment and supportknowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
