Oakey Beef Exports, part of the NH Foods Group, is one of Australia's largest and longest operating beef processing plants! Offering stable, full time employment and long-term career pathways here in Oakey, we are currently seeking local candidates with knife skills to join our Knifehand team!

Role

n

Becoming a Knifehand at Oakey Beef Exports is an opportunity to upskill and create a long-term pathway, with over 50+ different trimming and Knifehand roles in one department alone. This Knifehand position offers:

n

n
- Full-time, permanent employment in Oakey
n
- Monday to Friday shifts, with five (5) Saturday's each year
n
- 5:30AM – 1:36PM working hours (+1hr OT when required)
n
- Full on the job training including a Certificate in Meat Processing
n

n

What experience are we looking for?

n

Working As a Knifehand Is Fast-paced And Can Be Physically Demanding. Having The Motivation To Learn Will Be An Asset In Your Success. Previous Experience Using a Knife Will Be Extremely Advantageous! Some Areas Of Experience That Would Be Beneficial Include

- Butcher experience
n
- Chef/Kitchen experience
n




- Harvesting/farm experience
n
- Knife sharpening experience
n
- Meat/Seafood/Poultry processing experience
n

While we are currently seeking candidates with existing knife skills, we also offer entry-level roles where training can be provided for those will the motivation to learn!
