The Opportunity
n
This Senior Occupational Therapist role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse adult caseload supporting people living with:
n
n
- Psychosocial disability
n
- Mental health presentations
n
- Neurological conditions
n
- Physical disability
n
- Complex functional support needs
n
n
You'll complete comprehensive functional assessments, develop evidence-informed intervention plans and work alongside experienced Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists to deliver holistic, participant-centred care.
n You'll also play an important role in supporting and mentoring less experienced clinicians while continuing to develop your own leadership capabilities.
n
What Your Week Could Look Like
n
No two days are the same.
n You might be:
n
n
- Completing Functional Capacity Assessments
n
- Supporting participants with complex psychosocial presentations
n
- Conducting home and community visits
n
- Collaborating with Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists on shared participants
n
- Providing mentoring or informal supervision to junior clinicians
n
- Participating in peer supervision and multidisciplinary case discussions
n
- Working from our modern Wollongong office or remotely depending on your schedule
n
n
You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary while always having experienced colleagues available when needed.
n
What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for someone who enjoys both clinical excellence and collaboration.
n You'll bring:
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
n
- Experience working within disability, community health or NDIS settings
n
- Confidence managing complex adult caseloads
n
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing skills
n
- Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments (desirable)
n
- Passion for mentoring and supporting other clinicians
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
