This is an opportunity to work with servers, POS systems and retail hardware while gaining practical experience in system configuration, testing and IT deployment.

The Role

n

As a Retail Staging Technician, you will be responsible for preparing retail technology equipment for deployment across 7-Eleven stores nationwide. You will work through structured staging processes to configure, test and package hardware ready for installation.

n

This role would suit someone with experience or interest in IT hardware, desktop support, electronics, systems configuration, warehouse technology or technical deployments.

Key Responsibilities

n

Complete end-to-end staging of servers, POS units for retail store installations

n

Unbox, assemble and configure POS hardware and associated peripherals

n

Load and configure server operating systems, including Proxmox

n





Complete basic network and software configuration tasks

n

Install and configure POS software, including IP address allocation and network settings

n

Configure fuel controllers and complete XML file loading where required

n

Build and configure Windows and/or Android devices using approved documentation

n

Perform hardware and software testing to confirm equipment readiness

n

Follow documented procedures, checklists and quality standards

n

Package equipment for dispatch to retail locations

n

Assist with general warehouse activities and maintain a secure, organised workspace

n

About You

n

Experience with hardware setup, IT support, electronics, technical assembly or similar environments

n

Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Android operating systems

n

Familiarity with installing software, drivers and system updates

n

Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addresses, connectivity and configuration)

n

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions

n

A willingness to learn new systems and processes

n

Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to troubleshooting

n

Ability to complete manual handling tasks and work in a warehouse environment

n

Recent IT graduates, students, technicians and candidates looking to develop practical technology experience are encouraged to apply.
