n Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Woodgate Beach Hotel is seeking a qualified Chef to join our kitchen team in Woodgate, Queensland. The successful applicant will work alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team in a busy beachside hotel environment, preparing and delivering high-quality meals and supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

n

Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in accordance with the hotel's menu and service standards.

n

Working under the direction of the Head Chef while independently performing daily chef duties during service.

n

Assisting with menu planning, seasonal specials and food preparation requirements.

n

Monitoring food quality, presentation and consistency during preparation and service.

n

Ensuring food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness procedures are followed.

n

Assisting with stock control,



minimising waste and controlling food costs effectively.

n

Coordinating with cooks and kitchen hands to support smooth kitchen operations.

n

Demonstrating cooking techniques and assisting with training kitchen hands or junior staff where required.

n

Requirements:

n

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management, or an equivalent relevant qualification.

n

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.

n

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.

n

Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.

n

Valuable communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

n

Full-time position.

n

Salary package between $75,000 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

n

Temporary accommodation may be available for the right candidate.
