Job Description

Dispensary on Lygon Pty Ltd is a community pharmacy based in Melbourne, Victoria. We are seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists and assist with the day-to-day operations of our business.

The successful applicant will be offered a base salary of $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

n

Key duties and responsibilities include:

n

Assist pharmacists with the preparation, dispensing, labelling and packaging of prescription medications under supervision.

n

Process prescriptions accurately using pharmacy dispensing software and electronic health record systems.

n

Receive, record, order, monitor and maintain stock levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.

n

Assist with inventory management and ensure the secure storage and handling of medications, including Schedule 8 controlled drugs, in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

n

Prepare and dispense medicinal cannabis prescriptions in compliance with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) requirements and relevant Australian legislation.

n

Coordinate patient orders from receipt through to fulfilment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

n

Assist with prescription tracking, inventory management and patient communication systems.

n





Maintain accurate pharmacy records and support compliance with relevant pharmacy policies, procedures and quality standards.

n

Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the productive daily operation of the pharmacy.

n

Supervise junior pharmacy technicians as necessary.

Skills and experience required:

n

Certificate in SIRSS00012 – Community Pharmacy Dispensary or relevant higher qualification in Pharmacy, Science or a related field.

n

At least one year of full-time experience in a Pharmacy Technician or similar role.

n

Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy dispensing processes, inventory management and pharmacy software.

n

Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

n

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

n
