NRG Gladstone Operating Services (NRGGOS) is currently seeking to appoint an Occupational Health Nurse to join our onsite Health Centre for 12-month contract.

Occupational Health Nurse duties include but not limited to:
n
n
- Occupational Health Assessments including pre-employment medicals, periodic medicals, Exit medicals, audiometry, spirometry, drug screening and health monitoring.
n
- Assessing, treating/triaging and monitoring injuries and illness.
n
- Return to work assessment and rehabilitation plans and reviews for work and home injury/illness. Submitting Workcover claims and information where required.
n
- Conducting Drug and Alcohol testing.
n
- Mental health and wellbeing support liaising with EAP services.
n
- Timely and accurate reporting.
n
- High level compliance and observation of privacy and confidentiality.
n
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels & equipment.
n
- Coordinating calibration of medical equipment.
n
- Compliance with quality and safety standards.
n
n
This role requires a good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety practices, OSHA record keeping and an ability to maintain and follow occupational health procedures to ensure that all identified health concerns are identified early and managed appropriately.
n
The successful applicant must be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration in Australia.
It is desirable to have experience working in an Occupational Health Industry role for a minimum of 3 - 5 years.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
n

- Experience or Qualification in Audiometry and Spirometry
n
- Experience or Qualification in Drug and Alcohol Screening.
n
- Current Advanced First Aid and Resuscitation.
n
- Intermediate to solid computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel. Experience desirable in Best Practice software.
n
- Knowledge of Workcover and return to work rehabilitation.
n
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport.
n
- Highly developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
n
