About the Role

n

Mesh and Bar Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our Bar Bending team in Pakenham.

n

This role operates specialist steel reinforcing equipment including manual and automated bending machines to manufacture reinforcing bar for commercial and civil construction projects across Victoria.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with heavy duty machinery and can maintain a strong focus on efficiency, safety and quality.

n

Previous reinforcing steel experience is an advantage, however we are prepared to train the right person with the right attitude.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Operating reinforcing steel processing equipment.
n
- Setting up bending programs and tooling.
n
- Moving steel bars using overhead gantry cranes.
n
- Producing reinforcing bar to customer specifications.
n
- Reading production schedules and bending diagrams.
n
- Measuring and inspecting finished products.
n
- Maintaining quality and production standards.
n
- Performing daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
n
- Working safely within a team workplace.
n
