Job Description
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Clinical Nurse to work within our Medical team. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater's commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus casual loadingplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Team Leading, delivering and evaluating evidence‐based nursing care within your scope of practice
n
- Advocating for patients through education, informed consent, and shared decision‐making
n
- Act as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
n
- Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety, security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
n
- Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
n
- Complies with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this role you will possess:
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
n
- Minimum of 1 post grad experience working within an acute medical setting
n
- High level skills in problem‐solving, communication, coordination and time management
n
- The ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy, multidisciplinary team environment
n
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
n
- Available to work across all shifts
n
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
n
