About The Role
n
Join our dynamic team at Select Plant Australia! Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic.
n
This role will be a Hybrid role consisting of FIFO 7/7 and 2/1 rosters along with local work based out of our modern Select Plant Australia – Malaga Depot on a permanent, full‐time basis, under the support of a collaborative and inclusive team.
n
If successful, you will be tasked with the maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a diverse range of civil construction machinery (including excavators, loaders, cranes, telehandlers), power generators and civil ancillary equipment, servicing our internal and external clientele. Tools of trade provided.
n
Using your extensive diagnostic skills, commitment to quality control and secure work practices, our service workshop team will support you every step of the way.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Perform skilled diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across a wide range of plant and equipment.
n
- Attend onsite maintenance and breakdown as required, working efficiently to resolve.
n
- Complete accurate service and breakdown reports.
n
- Identify and requisition parts required to carry out repairs.
n
- Comply with all company health and safety policies.
n
- Carry out high‐quality work, up to and above OEM and industry requirements.
n
- Adhere to all internal and external client's site entry requirements and rules.
n

Essential Qualifications
n
n
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)
n
- Australian Driver's Licence – MR licence (minimum)
n
- HRWL – Forklift
n
- Australian Construction Induction Card (Blue/White Card)
n
- Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
n
- Minimum 4+ years' experience as a Heavy/Civil Plant Mechanic (essential) with FIFO experience
n
- Well‐rounded diagnostics skills across hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems
n
- Results‐driven, positive attitude and the willingness to learn and develop new skills
n
n
Highly Regarded but Not Essential
n
n
- RIW Card
n
- Higher class of driver's licence (HR & MC)
n
- Additional mechanical certifications (auto‐electrics, air‐conditioning, etc.)
n
- Additional plant or high‐risk tickets (rigging, dogging, telehandler, EWP)
n
n
