Fifo Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Contract

We are seeking a "Jack of all trades" Registered Nurse for a travel nursing contract in Queenstown, Tasmania.

n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician who enjoys working across emergency response, sub-acute care, and aged care support within a close-knit rural health setting.

n

The Role

n

The successful applicant will work as part of the WCDH team, providing high-quality nursing care across a diverse range of presentations. You will be expected to work autonomously, take charge, and provide clinical leadership across the facility.

n

The role includes:

n

n
- Working within our 3-bed First Response Unit, managing approximately 180 presentations per month
n
- Providing care within our 9-bed Sub Acute Unit, where the majority of your clinical duties will be based
n
- Supporting and providing guidance to Registered Nurses and staff within our 16-bed Residential Aged Care Unit
n
- Taking on shift-in-charge responsibilities
n
- Participating in a rotating on-call roster
n

Essential Requirements

n

We are looking for a confident and capable rural nurse with:

n

n
- Current Registered Nurse registration
n
- Proven rural and/or acute care nursing experience
n
- ALS competency




n
- Triage competency
n
- Resuscitation competency and experience
n
- Working with vulnerable people check
n
- Police Check
n
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a leadership capacity
n
- A flexible "can-do" attitude and willingness to support across multiple areas of the facility
n

Contract Details

- Location: West Coast District Hospital (WCDH), Queenstown, Tasmania
n
- Contract period: 20/07 – 11/10
n
- Roster: Rotating roster including early shifts and on-call requirements
n
- Accommodation: Provided close to the facility
n
