A PLUS Agency is looking for an Experienced Pastry Cook/ Chef for our client Paul the Pieman Bakeries.

Paul the Pieman, VIC is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Pastry Cook/ Chef to join our busy team. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality savoury pastries, fillings, and baked goods. You will maintain the high standards that keep our display cases packed and our customers coming back.

Position details: Full time

Location: 5 Abeckett St, Inverloch VIC 3996

Salary: 75,000 to 85,000 plus super

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare, portion, and cook high-quality gourmet pie fillings and gravies.
n
- Mix, laminate, and shape shortcrust and puff pastry for pies, pasties, and sausage rolls.
n
- Follow established recipes accurately to maintain our award-winning consistency.
n
- Manage stock levels, monitor ingredients, and minimise waste during production.
n
- Maintain strict food safety, kitchen hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
n
- Work collaboratively with the bread baking team to meet early morning deadlines.
n
- Maintain strict food hygiene, stock rotation, and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.
n




- Collaborate closely with our counter staff to ensure showcase shelves remain fully stocked.
n

Requirements

n

n
- Qualified Pastry Cook with a Certificate III in Baking / Patisserie (or equivalent trade experience).
n
- At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a Pastry Cook, in a commercial bakery environment.
n
- Proven commercial pastry making experience, ideally specializing in pies and flaky pastry work.
n
- Reliability to handle early morning shift starts efficiently.
n
- Physical capability to stand for long hours and lift heavy bakery raw ingredients.
n
- Strong team focus and a positive attitude in a quick-paced environment.
n
- Must have rights to work in Australia on a Full time basis.
n
- Successful candidates must be willing to work early morning shifts and work the weekends.
n
