So what's the role about?

n

The Automotive Technician role is a full-time position working where you are required to perform a range of engine & mechanical tests, diagnose, repair, and service as per the detailed Toyota product warranty guidelines, company policy, and workshop foreman instruction.

- Providing expert advice in relation to the current mechanical condition of vehicles
n
- Taking all necessary diagnostic steps to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
n
- Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission, and the suspension systems
n
- Reporting all necessary work, service, or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using in-house databases or reporting systems
n
- Ordering parts needed as part of the warranty service
n
- Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
n




- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to the dealer product range
n
- Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment
n
- Ensuring the safe work practices of all staff
n
- Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to customers
n
- Providing high-level customer service to the dealership's guests
n
- Other duties as directed

So who are we looking for?

n

n
- Well presented
n
- Cert III Automotive Light Vehicle qualification is required
n
- Experience with passenger & light commercial vehicles
n
- Minimum of 5+ years of automotive experience is required
n
- Toyota dealership experience an advantage but not essential
n
- Car (C class) driver's licence is required
n
- The ability to work as part of a team
n
- ARC - Refrigerant Handling Licence (preferred not essential)
n
