Mercure Albury is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Casual Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is available to work a mix of breakfast and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

About the Role

n

As a Casual Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen. You'll work across both breakfast and evening service, ensuring guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and cook breakfast and dinner menu items.
n
- Ensure food is presented to a consistently high standard.
n
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
n
- Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste.
n
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with health regulations.
n




- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
n
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations as required.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant or café environment.
n
- Availability to work both early morning breakfast shifts and evening dinner shifts.
n
- A positive attitude and robust work ethic.
n
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
n
- The ability to work independently and within a team.
n
- Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices.
n
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varying shifts.
n
