We are seeking a number of experienced Carers with a Certificate III in Aged Care to undertake the role of a Carer at The Village on a casual basis.

n

The successful candidates will be available to work at least three weekdays and be flexible to work night shifts as required.

n

The role entails providing care to residents as a member of the care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide person centred care which includes:

n

- Empowering our residents to ensure their choices and preferences are met, including serving food and feeding residents when required
n
- Assisting residents with their daily care needs
n
- Assisting residents to participate in activities
n

n

You will bring:

n

n




- A caring and patient outlook and enjoy making a positive impact to our residents everyday lives.
n
- A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
n
- Demonstrated experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care
n
- Previous working knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
n
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
n
- Confidence working in a flexible team setting
n
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
n
- Ability to speak other languages (desirable but not essential)
n
