About Us

n

Headland Montessori Grange Road is a warm, community-focused Montessori childcare centre in Caulfield East, dedicated to child-led learning within a beautifully Prepared Environment. Our six rooms (Nido, Piccolo, Mimmo, Bunjil, Gurr and Duwi) support children from infancy through to kindergarten age, guided by the principles of educator-family partnership and respect for each child's individual pace of development.

About the Role

n

We're looking for a passionate, reliable Educator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is primarily suited to someone with robust experience in the 3–6 years age group, though flexibility to work across different rooms as rostering needs require is essential.

Key Responsibilities

n

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences aligned with the EYLF/VEYLDF and Montessori philosophy

n

Build genuine, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues

n

Support the inclusion and wellbeing of children with additional needs, working collaboratively with families, inclusion support professionals and the leadership team

n

Maintain accurate documentation,



observations and compliance records in line with the National Quality Standard

n

Work flexibly across rooms as needed to meet ratio and rostering requirements

n

Contribute positively to a respectful, collaborative team culture

n

About You

n

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)

n

Demonstrated experience working with children aged 3–6 years

n

Experience supporting children with additional needs is essential

n

Montessori training or experience is highly regarded but not required — a genuine interest in the philosophy is important

n

Current Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis/Asthma certification, and up-to-date immunisation records

n

A flexible, team-oriented approach and willingness to work across different rooms/age groups as required

n

Strong communication skills and a warm, respectful manner with children and families

n
