About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Public Speaking & Debating Coach to join our growing team.

n

You will teach students aged 7-16 years, delivering engaging lessons while preparing students for a variety of public speaking and debating competitions.

n

Your responsibilities include:

n

n
- Teaching public speaking and debating to students of different age groups and abilities
n
- Coaching students for school, regional, state and national competitions
n
- Developing students' speech writing, persuasive speaking, debating and presentation skills
n




- Building confidence, critical thinking and leadership
n
- Providing constructive feedback and mentoring students to achieve their personal best
n
- Working collaboratively with the ICC Education teaching team
n

n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who has:

n

Essential

n

n
- Experience teaching or coaching Public Speaking and/or Debating
n
- Experience working with children or teenagers (7-16 years)
n
- Strong public speaking, communication and presentation skills
n
- A passion for mentoring and inspiring young people
n
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
n

n

Highly Regarded

n

Applicants with one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

n

n
- Competitive Public Speaking experience
n
- Competitive Debating experience
n
- Experience coaching students for public speaking or debating competitions
n
- Experience as a Public Speaking or Debating Adjudicator (Judge)
n
- Experience judging school, regional or state competitions
n
- University debating experience
n
- Toastmasters membership or leadership experience
n
- Drama, Education, Law, Communications or English background
n
