We are looking for a motivated Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our Broadford Factory, where we produce confectionery brand ALLEN'S, such as Minties, Snakes Alive, Party Mix and many more which delight consumers across Australia.
n
This role will provide support on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Electricity and Automation (E&A;) professional and technical in the Factory for operational activities and during participation in CAPEX projects.

A day in the life...
n
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team passionate about improving factory operations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
n
n
- Manage the factory electrical infrastructure from design through to installation, maintenance, operation, improvement and upgrade as part of a site electrical strategy.
n
- Participates in Capital Investments projects in the factory ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards.
n
- Responsible for preparation of the user and technical specifications.
n
- Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
n
- Ensure that the Change Management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the MES-E&A; solutions.
n
- Play a key role in the continuous improvement of our factories through mastering the process and product characteristics.
n
- Supervise and coordinate Automation and MES maintenance and project work by electricians and contractors.
n
- Co-ordinate with Production, Quality Management and Engineering to resolve Automation and MES issues.
n
- Develop a deep insight of the processes, and continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
n
- Participates in the implementation of engineering tools at site level (i.e. NSAT, NEST, AMM, etc.).
n
- Ensure that all MES-E&A; installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
n
- Ensures that the key MES-E&A; documentation is up to date and in place (i.e. SLD, URS, FDS, Calibration procedures, etc.). Participates in the M&I; activities in the factory.

What will make you successful
n
Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
n
Degree or Diploma qualified with solid Electrical and Automation experience.
n
Minimum 3 years Automation and/or MES engineer with Electrical experience.
n
Experience in Personnel Supervision of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties.
n
Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
n
Participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s)
n
Exposure to TPM,
preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired but not required.
n
Proficient in installation, programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLC's and variable speed drives – desired.
n
In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control, real time management, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), man/machine interfaces and communication, computer hardware etc.
n
The right person must be proactive, thorough and detailed, with a high level of relationship building.
n
Excellent communication skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
n
