Virtue Enclosure Systems Pty Ltd, in Eumemmerring, VIC, are manufacturers of Sheetmetal Enclosures for the Electrical Industry and they also make custom designed switchboard cabinets. Currently, there is a full-time vacancy for an experienced and skilled Welder (First Class), who can take the responsibilities and can work independently. Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Fabricate custom electrical switchboard enclosures and associated sheetmetal components from engineering drawings and production documentation.
n
- Perform high-quality MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium to company standards.
n
- Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, drills, grinders and other workshop machinery.
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing instructions.
n
- Modify fabricated components where required while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
n
- Dress, grind and finish welds ready for powder coating and final assembly.
n
- Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards.
n
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials and finished products throughout the factory.
n
- Assist with loading completed switchboards for transport when required.
n
- Maintain a clean,



organised and safe work environment in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
n
- Work independently while also collaborating with production staff to meet manufacturing schedules and customer deadlines.

Required Skills

n

n
- Proven experience in MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
n
- Solid sheetmetal fabrication skills.
n
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication documentation.
n
- Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.
n
- Ability to fabricate and modify custom-built products to a high standard with minimal supervision.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and rectify fabrication issues.
n
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines.
n
- Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety procedures.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent).
n
- Minimum three years' experience in custom sheetmetal fabrication and welding.
n
- Forklift Licence (LF).
n
- Demonstrated experience manufacturing custom-built electrical switchboard enclosures or similar fabricated products.
n
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
n

Salary - $79,000 - $82,000 plus super Only eligible and short-listed applicants will be considered.
