Yugo Driving School Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced MC Non synchro Truck Driver, to become a Heavy Vehicle Truck Trainer/Assessor to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Dandenong South, VIC, this role is central to our mission of delivering high-quality training and assessment services to aspiring heavy vehicle operators. As a Heavy Vehicle Truck Trainer/Assessor, you will be responsible for educating, training, and assessing candidates to ensure they meet the stringent standards required for heavy vehicle operation to the VicRoads Standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining road safety whilst helping individuals develop the professional skills necessary for a rewarding career in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive classroom and practical training sessions for heavy vehicle operation, including theory and practical instruction
n
- Assess candidates' competency in accordance with relevant Australian standards and regulatory requirements for heavy vehicle licensing as per VicRoads requirements.

- Evaluate and document candidate performance during both pre-assessment and formal assessment activities
n
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees to support their development and skill acquisition
n
- Maintain detailed records of training delivery and assessment outcomes
n
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with relevant legislation, industry standards and Yugo Driving School policies
n
- Develop and update training materials and resources to reflect current industry practices and regulatory changes
n
- Liaise with candidates, employers and relevant authorities to coordinate training schedules and assessment arrangements
n
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programmes through feedback and evaluation

What we're looking for

n

n




- Recent Industry Driving Experience in B doubles and road ranger gearboxes, within the last 2 years.
n
- Current Victorian Multi Combination (MC) driver's licence, with a positive driving history
n
- No criminal record, police check required.
n
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, fairness and equality with clients/colleagues.
n
- Knowledge & demonstration of Australian Car road rules
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and motivate diverse learners
n
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation
n
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and upholding road safety principles
n
- Must maintain privacy and confidentiality with client files.
n
- Must have basic computer skills.
