Chris's Body Builders is built on our people, we all work together in a team orientated environment to build state of the art tipping truck bodies and tipping trailers. Wether its on a construction site or in a paddock, take a look and you will see our trailers on the highway every day. We cover all areas of tipping transport in vehicles fabricated from steel, Hardox and aluminium.

Our manufacturing facility and role is located in Melbourne's western suburbs. We require a Mechanical Engineer to join our skilled workforce to work alongside our existing engineering team.

The Role:

n

n
- Design heavy transport vehicles for the tipping industry in Solidworks and Autocad
n
- Investigate production and product improvements and projects
n
- Work within the engineering team to develope production documentation
n
- Work with compliance on heavy vehicles
n
- Carry out product trouble shooting and components investigations
n
- Analyse vehicle issues and collect technical information.
n
- Input information into company ERP system
n
- Prepare reports on issues and create production documentation
n
- Direct workers to ensure that builds are built to plan and required standards.
n
- Participate on quality improvement initiatives and projects
n




- Liaise with suppliers on critical components and custom goods
n

About you

n

n
- To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track in a similar role
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering,
n
- Extensive experience in a similar role building heavy tipping equipment
n
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in designing heavy tipping equipment is required
n
- Sound knowledge of engineering standards,
n
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and Design software such as SolidWorks or Autocad
n
- Advanced level proficiency in SolidWorks is required
n
- Proficiency in both SolidWorks or AutoCAD design software requirements
n
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and in all forms
n
- Friendly predisposition and a solid team player,
