About the Port of Hastings

The Port of Hastings is located on the shores of Western Port, approximately 70 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. It is one of four major working commercial trading ports operating in Victoria, and has been operating for close to 60 years.

The Port of Hastings facilities include:

- BlueScope Steel wharves

The Port of Hastings has also been selected by the Victorian Government as the location for the proposed Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal, a dedicated assembly port to support the construction of Australia's first offshore wind farms along the Victorian coast. The offshore wind industry presents an opportunity to open a new chapter in the history of the Port, one that will see the Port of Hastings at the heart of Victoria's drive to reach net zero emissions.

The Role:

n

The Port of Hastings Corporation is seeking Risk & Compliance Advisor to strengthen its enterprise risk, compliance and governance capabilities.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Facilitate the identification, assessment and documentation of strategic and operational risks.
n
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the enterprise Risk Management Framework.
n
- Maintain risk registers, compliance obligations,



risk dashboards and Key Risk Indicators.
n
- Prepare high-quality reporting for the Executive, Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
n
- Monitor the organisation's risk appetite and elevate material breaches and emerging risks.
n

n

Key Skills and Experience

n

n
- Strong experience in enterprise risk, compliance or governance roles within a highly regulated environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, including ISO 31000, and relevant compliance and integrity frameworks.
n
- Experience supporting executive, Board or Audit & Risk Committee governance processes.
n
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex matters into clear recommendations.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to provide independent, commercially sound advice.
n
- A proactive, adaptable and delivery-focused approach, supported by excellent attention to detail.
n
