Job Description
Senior Payroll Officer (F/T) - Embracia Aged Care Homes & Early Learning Centre

Please note: this position is based in Kew East VIC.
n
About Embracia

Embracia is a privately owned, values-led organisation operating across aged care and early learning.
n
We operate two aged care homes and an Early Learning Centre in Kyneton, with a third aged care home currently under construction in Kyneton as part of our continued growth.
n
The Role
n
n
- Manage and process fortnightly payroll across Embracia's aged care and early learning services.
n
- Interpret and apply relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment contracts and Fair Work legislation.
n
- Manage the processing of new starters, terminations, leave, salary adjustments and payroll variations.
n
- Generate fortnightly payroll reports for management approval.
n
- Manage superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, month-end processes and year-end payroll activities.
n
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll journals.
n
- Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
n
- Maintain payroll data integrity and employee records in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
n
- Support payroll audits, compliance reviews and payroll system improvements.
n
- Assist with payroll reporting and analysis for management and finance teams.
n
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the Junior Payroll Officer as required.
n
- Assist with finance and HR projects as required.

About you
n
n
- Minimum three years' experience in payroll processing,
preferably within aged care and/or early learning.
n
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills.
n
- Skilled and effective communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within structured payroll cycles.
n
- Experience interpreting and applying Industrial Relations legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
n
- Confidence using payroll and rostering systems, with experience in iChris, Xero and Humanforce highly regarded.
n
- Sound knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements, including PAYG, WorkCover, payroll tax, superannuation and long service leave.
n
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, privacy and professional integrity.
n
