Deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention for children and adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. Develop individualised therapy plans and functional goals aligned with participant needs and NDIS outcomes.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists.

n

Provide education/training to families, carers, support workers, and other stakeholders. Utilise a range of therapy approaches including: AAC systems/strategies.

n

Social communication intervention Functional communication strategies

n

Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing career development. Deliver services via face-to-face and telepractice models where appropriate.

Essential requirements:



Bachelor or Master qualification in Speech Pathology.

n

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with Speech Pathology Australia. Minimum 3–4 years experience working within disability and/or NDIS settings. Experience supporting both paediatric and adult participants.

n

Strong understanding of the NDIS and capacity-building approaches. Experience with AAC and/or complex communication needs. Mealtime management assessment, recommendations and training.

n

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for community visits.

n

Current Working With Children Check, Police check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
