This is a 6 month contract based in the Perth CBD.

n

Our clients are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to play a key role in thier enterprise cloud transformation as we transition to a modern, cloud-first operating model.

n

This role is focused on building the foundational services, guardrails, and automation that enable teams to safely and efficiently consume Azure.

n

You will design and implement a scalable, secure cloud platform with some opportunity to support a hybrid environment that includes a significant on-prem Red Hat Linux footprint.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design and implement Azure landing zones, management hierarchy, and subscription governance aligned to best practices (CAF / ALZ).
n
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Bicep) modules, reusable patterns, and deployment pipelines.
n
- Develop and manage policy-as-code to enforce security, compliance, and operational standards.
n
- Configure and operate Entra ID, including RBAC, Conditional Access, and privileged access controls.
n
- Deliver CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to support automated, repeatable deployments.
n
- Establish networking and integration patterns, including private endpoints, hub-and-spoke, and SaaS connectivity.
n
- Support and enhance integration services (API Management, messaging, event-driven architectures).
n




- Provide hands‐on support and guidance across both cloud and hybrid environments.
n
- Proven experience building and operating Azure landing zones and cloud platforms in enterprise environments.
n
- Strong Infrastructure‐as‐Code expertise (Bicep preferred) and automation mindset.
n
- Experience implementing Azure Policy and governance frameworks.
n
- Deep knowledge of Azure identity (Entra ID) and access management.
n
- Hands‐on experience with Azure networking (private connectivity, security, hybrid integration).
n
- Strong experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
n
- Ability to design scalable platform patterns and enable self‐service consumption.

Highly Valued Experience

n

n
- Experience working in hybrid environments transitioning from on‐premises to cloud.
n
- Solid Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience supporting on‐prem workloads.
n
- Understanding of hybrid identity and integration patterns between on‐prem and Azure.
n
- Broad troubleshooting capability across cloud and infrastructure layers.
n
