Field Trade Assistant – Site Installations

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Field Trade Assistant to join a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in large-scale steel tank installations.

n

This is a hands‐on role working across customer sites throughout NSW, assisting experienced tradespeople with the installation and assembly of steel tanks. If you enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit, and have a strong commitment to safety, this is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full‐time work with a reputable business.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with the installation and assembly of large steel tanks at customer sites.
n
- Support Boilermakers, Welders and Site Supervisors throughout installation projects.
n
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
n
- Assist with lifting, positioning and securing steel components.
n
- Carry out general labouring and site preparation duties.
n
- Work safely in confined spaces and at heights where required.
n
- Load, unload and handle materials and equipment.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite.
n
- Follow SWMS, site safety procedures and company policies.
n




- Work collaboratively with the installation team to complete projects on schedule.
n

To Be Successful You Will Have

n

n
- Current White Card.
n
- Current Confined Spaces ticket.
n
- Current Working at Heights ticket.
n
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Construction Labourer, Mechanical TA or within fabrication/manufacturing.
n
- Confidence using hand and power tools.
n
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team.
n

- $41.00 per hour + Super.
n
- $26.00 daily travel allowance.
n
- Consistent Monday to Friday hours (6:00am – 2:30pm).
n
