Job Description
Calling all emergency and critical care veterinarians! Positions are available to join an ECC practice in Sydney.
n
This role may appeal to vets looking to develop or continue an ECC career within a growing, privately owned practice, with exposure to diverse emergency work and the support of an established veterinary team.
n
The team at the practice manage emergency presentations, ICU and hospital patients. Additional support is available from a part-time medicine specialist and an orthopaedic surgeon.
n

The hospital is designed with staff comfort and wellbeing in mind and includes a well-stocked kitchen, quiet tearoom for downtime, secure staff parking, on-site vending machine and more.

The roster is varied and current shift patterns include emergency day shifts from 7 am to 5 pm, midday hospital shifts from 12 pm to 10 pm, weekday consulting shifts from 6 pm to midnight, weekend consulting shifts from 4 pm to 2 am, and overnight shifts from 9:30 pm to 7:30 am. This is a full-time role, however, part time hours may be considered.

The hospital is exceptionally well-equipped, with two surgical theatres, a dedicated ICU and an advanced imaging suite featuring CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and dental x-ray. Vets are supported by a full IDEXX in-house pathology suite, advanced anaesthetic monitoring, high-flow oxygen and ventilatory support, current infusion pumps and syringe drivers, as well as separate feline, canine and isolation wards. A blood donor program and dedicated consultation spaces further support the delivery of high-quality patient care. The team utilise EzyVet and SmartFlow for seamless workflow.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
