Job Description
Solutions Architect (Identity & Access Management)
n
n
- Lead the modernisation of the Identity and Access Management (IDAM) environment.
n
- Collate security, operations, architecture, and strategic requirements for Identity and Access Management.
n
- Provide advice, guidance, and direction to projects tasked with uplifting components of the IDAM environment.
n
- Review, design, and implement improved processes and controls relating to Identity and Access Management.
n
n
Solution Analysis & Architecture Prepare options analyses and recommend solutions for key technology decisions, considering:
n
n
- Alignment with ICT standards and strategic direction
n
- Implementation complexity
n
- Solution qualities including security, availability, and fitness for purpose
n
- Operational and support complexity
n
- Relative cost comparisons
n
n
Additional responsibilities include:
n
n
- Assessing business requests against reference architectures and the current operating environment.
n
- Participating in broader technology transformation initiatives to ensure IDAM patterns and requirements are appropriately planned and implemented.
n
- Contributing to strategic target states, long-term planning, and implementation roadmaps.
n
n
Deliverables Work outputs may include:
n
n
- Technical input for procurement activities, including Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and Requests for Quote (RFQs)
n
- Recommendations on best practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure
n
- Solution Architecture Definitions (executive summaries and detailed designs)
n
- Concepts of Operations
n
- Business services and information models
n
- Networking and deployment architectures
n
- Scenario planning, including functionality, availability, and disaster recovery considerations
n
- Key decision analyses
n
- Prepare submissions for Architecture Review Boards, including:
n
- Recent architecture standards, patterns, and building block.
n
- Requests for exceptions to established architectural baselines and standards.
n
- Review vendor documentation, technical designs, specifications, and tender responses against architectural requirements.
n
- Identify, follow up, and elevate corrective actions where required.
n
- Conduct peer reviews of Solution Options and Solution Architecture Definitions.
n
- Document peer review outcomes and provide input into architecture governance processes.
n
n
The Solution Architect will work closely with architecture, security, engineering, project, operations, and vendor teams to ensure Identity and Access Management requirements are translated into practical and effective solutions.
n
The successful candidate will be expected to:
n
n
- Provide oversight, guidance, and review of technology vendors and service providers.
n
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to manage risks and address issues through appropriate governance forums.
