About the role

n

We're seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain secure, reliable cloud delivery foundations for a large government department in Brisbane.

n

You will design and build CI/CD pipelines, implement Infrastructure as Code, champion DevSecOps/GitOps practices, automate cloud environments, and uplift monitoring/observability and operational resilience.

n

This is a hands‐on engineering role working across delivery, architecture, security and technology stakeholders in an agile setting.

n

Required skills

n

n
- StrongAWSexperience (e.g., VPC, serverless, ECS, IAM, etc.)
n
- StrongIAMknowledge (design and implementation)
n
- DevOps / SREcapability: CI/CD, observability, incident response, reliability practices
n
- Terraform(IaC)



expertise: provisioning, state management, locking, and best practices
n
- Scripting skills:PythonandBash(Java also valued; Node.js a bonus)
n
- AdvancedGitskills: branching strategies, PR workflows, reviews
n
- Strong engineering practices (e.g., modularisation, DRY principles, maintainable code/IaC patterns)
n
- Security-focused delivery includingsecrets managementbest practices
n
- Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, CIDR/subnets, firewalls, load balancing
