Mercy Community is seeking a passionate Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Practitioner to join our Family and Child Connect (FaCC) team in Browns Plains. This is a full-time role where your skills and dedication will directly support vulnerable children, young people, and families in our community.

Your role will include:
n
n
- Providing expert domestic and family violence guidance across the FaCC team, from referral to case closure, using evidence-based frameworks such as Safe & Together.
n
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and safety planning in line with DFV and child protection frameworks.
n
- Supporting staff to intervene safely and effectively with both victims (including children) and perpetrators of domestic violence.
n
- Engaging with individuals, families, and community members to provide advice, referrals, and linkages to essential services.
n

About you:
n
n
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
n
- Sound understanding of the Queensland Child Protection system
n
- Knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
n
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver's License
n
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough, or willingness to obtain before starting
n
