n We're partnering with a well-established, growing food manufacturing company based in the Northern Rivers, which is seeking an experiencedPurchasing & Procurement Specialistto join its Supply Chain team.
n This is a hands‐on role where you'll be responsible for purchasing raw materials and packaging, coordinating suppliers, supporting inventory accuracy, and ensuring procurement processes run efficiently from purchase order through to invoice reconciliation.

n About the Role:
n Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working closely with the Finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production while maintaining accurate purchasing, inventory and financial records.
n You'll work across procurement, supplier management, inventory administration and purchasing support, helping ensure products are delivered on time and operations continue to run efficiently.
n Key Responsibilities:
n Procurement & Purchasing
n

- Plan and coordinate purchasing of raw materials, packaging and inventory items.
n
- Raise, manage and track purchase orders using the ERP system.
n
- Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
n
- Support supplier negotiations on pricing, terms and delivery performance.
n
- Maintain supplier relationships and monitor quality, pricing and service levels.
n
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with internal approval processes.
n
- Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics partners.
n
- Track shipment arrivals and communicate delivery schedules across the business.
n
- Manage supplier communications relating to orders, invoices and account queries.
n
- Proactively identify and elevate supply risks or delivery delays.
n
- Maintain accurate import and shipping documentation.

- Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics partners.

Inventory & Finance Support
n
n
- Process inventory-related supplier invoices.
n
- Match purchase orders, goods receipts and invoices.
n
- Reconcile inventory transactions between ERP and accounting systems.
n
- Assist with inventory costing, landed costs and inventory reconciliations.
n
- Support stocktakes, inventory adjustments and month-end reporting.
n
- Maintain accurate product, supplier and pricing master data.
n
n
Continuous Improvement
n
n
- Prepare purchasing and inventory reports.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and system efficiencies.
n
- Assist with documenting purchasing procedures and standard operating processes.
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.
n
n
About You: You'll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient and well‐organised work. You'll also bring:
n
n
- 3+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory administration or supply chain.
n
- Experience working within a manufacturing or food production environment (highly regarded).
n
- Experience using ERP systems such as CIN7, DEAR or similar.
n
- Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
n
- Strong Excel and data management skills.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Strong communication and relationship‐building skills.
n
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
n
n
Experience with inventory accounting concepts such as GRNI, landed costs, inventory reconciliations or stock control will be highly regarded.Why Join This Business?
