u&u; Recruitment Partners are proud to be partnering with one of our key clients to recruit an inaugural General Manager – Artificial Intelligence to establish and lead an enterprise AI function, setting the strategy, building the capability and creating the governance that will shape how AI is adopted across the organisation.

The opportunity to shape the future:
n
As the inaugural General Manager – Artificial Intelligence, you will establish the enterprise AI function and provide strategic leadership across AI strategy, innovation, governance, investment and value realisation.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Define the organisations AI strategy and establish the roadmap for how AI will support its people, services and long-term organisational strategy;
n
- Build the Enterprise AI Office from the ground up, establishing the operating model, capability, priorities and ways of working required to scale AI responsibly;
n
- Identify and deliver high-value AI opportunities across health, aged care, community services and corporate functions, moving from pilots and experimentation into measurable enterprise outcomes;
n
- Establish robust AI governance, risk, ethics and assurance frameworks, ensuring AI is adopted safely, responsibly and in a way that reflects the organisations values;
n
- Lead enterprise-wide decisions around AI investment, prioritisation and value realisation,
ensuring investment is focused on initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes; and
n
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders and Boards to build AI confidence, understanding and adoption across the organisation.

You will be an experienced AI, innovation or technology leader who can combine strategic vision with commercial pragmatism and the ability to execute.

The successful candidate will bring:
n
n
- Executive or senior leadership experience across Artificial Intelligence, innovation, digital transformation, emerging technology or enterprise technology strategy;
n
- A proven ability to develop and execute strategy and turn emerging technology opportunities into measurable organisational value;
n
- Experience establishing or leading AI functions, transformation portfolios or enterprise innovation capabilities;
n
- Solid understanding of responsible AI, governance, risk, ethics and assurance, with the ability to balance innovation with the requirements of a complex and highly regulated environment;
n
- The credibility and influence to engage with Executives, Boards and senior stakeholders, bringing diverse business areas on the AI journey; and
n
- The ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical business outcomes and inspire confidence across technical and non-technical audiences.
