We're partnering with a well-established financial services organisation seeking a lawyer to join its specialist Disputes team. This is an opportunity to work on complex complaints and dispute resolution matters, applying your legal and analytical skills in a collaborative, commercially focused environment with genuine work-life balance.

You'll investigate disputes, assess legal and regulatory issues, engage with key stakeholders, and negotiate practical, commercially sound outcomes.

The Opportunity
n
Joining a close-knit specialist disputes team, you will:
n
n
- Investigate complaints and disputes from initial assessment through to resolution.
n
- Manage internal dispute resolution matters and external disputes, including AFCA matters.
n
- Analyse legislation, evidence and internal processes to determine appropriate outcomes.
n
- Prepare written responses, legal submissions and recommendations.
n
- Liaise with internal legal counsel, operational stakeholders and external parties.
n
- Identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement across complaint handling processes.
n
- Support regulatory compliance and positive customer outcomes.

About You
n
To be successful, you will ideally have:
n
n
- Admitted lawyer with 2+ years' PQE in disputes or litigation, gained in private practice or in-house.
n
- Exposure to AFCA, financial services, banking, consumer lending, credit or regulatory matters will be highly regarded.
n
- Solid analytical, investigation and communication skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload.
n
- A collaborative, commercially minded and down-to-earth approach.
n
