Kenneally's Funerals is seeking reliable, compassionate and professional individuals to join our team as Funeral Assistants / Trainee Funeral Conductors.
n
This is an opportunity to undertake meaningful, hands-on work supporting families while developing practical skills across funeral service operations. Depending on experience, availability and career goals, the position may be offered on a casual or full-time basis.
n
You'll work alongside our experienced Funeral Directors and Conductors, assisting with services and learning how to coordinate them with care, dignity, professionalism and attention to detail. Full on-the-job training and mentoring will be provided.
n
About the Role
n
No two days are the same. Depending on your experience, training and operational requirements, your responsibilities may include:
n
Assisting with the preparation, coordination and delivery of funeral services in churches, chapels, cemeteries and crematoriums.
n
Supporting families and guests with compassion, discretion and professionalism.
n
Driving hearses, mourning cars and other funeral vehicles.
n
Carrying and escorting coffins safely and respectfully during funeral services.
n
Preparing funeral vehicles, equipment, chapels and graveside service areas to a high standard.
n
Assisting with transfers from homes, hospitals and aged care facilities.
n
Providing respectful care of the deceased within our mortuary.
n
Coordinating with churches, cemeteries, crematoriums, celebrants and other service providers.
n
Supporting Funeral Directors and Conductors throughout services while developing the skills to conduct services independently.
n
Maintaining the professional presentation of vehicles, facilities and equipment.
