MacKellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, operating one of Queensland's largest mobile mining fleets. We are seeking an experienced Reliability & Maintenance Planning Superintendent to lead our planning and reliability function, ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and at peak performance.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving maintenance strategies, improving equipment reliability and leading a high-performing planning team in a large-scale mining environment.

About the Role

n

You will be responsible for leading the site's Reliability and Maintenance Planning function to maximise equipment availability, improve maintenance efficiency and support protected production outcomes.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading the Reliability and Maintenance Planning team across the mobile fleet
n
- Developing and implementing preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance strategies
n
- Managing maintenance planning, scheduling and execution to optimise fleet availability
n
- Monitoring equipment performance and analysing reliability trends to identify improvement opportunities
n
- Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports
n




- Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within budget
n
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability and maintenance performance
n
- Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance and Technical teams to achieve site performance objectives
n
- Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and reporting
n

About You

n

n
- An Engineering qualification or Trade qualification in Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel or a related discipline
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience in Maintenance Planning, Reliability or Asset Management within mining or heavy industry
n
- Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment maintenance and reliability principles
n
- Experience with maintenance planning systems and reporting tools
n
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
n
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and team leadership
n
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
n
- Current Standard 11
n
- Current G1, G8 and G9 Supervisor competencies
n
- Current G2 (RIIRIS402) Risk Management competency
n
